  1. Primary drug used to treat mycobacterium tuberculosis and for chemoprophylaxis (6 months) in people with positive PPD
  2. Excreted in the urine
  3. First line therapy against TB
  4. Side effects: I (intestinal upset), N (neuropathy), H (hepatic toxicity)
  5. Peripheral neuropathy is a common side effect (17%) and may be prevented by the administration of pyridoxine
  6. Inhibits the metabolization of phenytoin and increases its level
