Clear Cell Ependymoma
|This article has been reviewed by the NeuroWiki Editorial Board|
Clear cell ependymomas are characterized by tumor cells that display an oligodendroglia-like appearance. These lesions are preferentially located in the supratentorial compartment of younger patients. Ependymal and perivascular rosettes distinguish these tumors from oligodendroglioma, central neurocytoma, metastatic clear cell carcinoma, and hemanglioblastoma.
